A team from Gear Outreach paid a relief visit to the people of Abi village in the Berekum Municipality on Sunday 18th June 2017. On the team’s arrival, they were met by Nana Afriyie who helped them mobilize the people to hear the visitors out.
At the gathering, Mr. Asiedu Emmanuel George, CEO of Gear Entertainment GH said, “we are individuals from different denominations who have decided to travel to villages to win souls for Christ and since not everyone can come, they give out their stuff in support of the propagation of the word”.
He added that though they are preaching the gospel to all, the youth are their priority since the are the future of the world”as we travel to spread the word, the youth remain our most priority since we are the future of this great nation”.
He concluded by thanking elders of the village and edging the people to seek God always “I will thank the elders of this community for accepting us and encourage all of us to hold on to our Lord Jesus Christ”.
Mr. James Kwaku Tuah, Berekum District Junior Youth President from Presbyterian Church of Ghana share the word of God with them and led them through a time of prayer. The items including clothes, shoes, bags, books, etc. were shared to the people whose hearts were filled with joy.
Elders of the Abi thanked Gear Outreach for the kind gesture due them. Interacting with the elders and people of Abi, they laid some of their problems including lack of a health facility, improper disposal of human waste due to disfunction of their only toilet facility and their only source of water-which is used for both domestic and farming purposes.
Gear Outreach is a subsidiary of Gear Entertainment GH; an organization that uses entertainment as a medium to win souls for Christ and reach out to the needy. Gear Outreach visits villages to spread the gospel and donate items to the people.
